Laptop Repair

Guys, i have a Dell laptop, its an Inspiron 6000.
it does the job, wouldnt mind a bigger harddrive and more ram but that can be sorted at a later date.

its about 3 years old, and i bought it new from Dell.

i have 2 problems at the moment :

1 : the keyboard has a few still letters, like when you press them they dont come up on screen, you have to double check as your typing and the number three is gone with just the little rubber thing underneath left and its a PITA to try use, i could be pressing the number for 5 mins before it comes up on screen!

2 : the screen has started to flicker now, the bottom third sometimes freezes and you can scroll up and down no probs but the bottom is frooze! the bottom third is also a shade lighter than the top and if i push the screen it can fix or make the problem worse.

is there a fix to this or is it a case of new laptop?
i really done want a new one as i know where everything is on this one, with my music, itunes etc etc

if you like it... get a replacement keyboard from ebay... same as a with the lcd... keyboard is simple to change... the lcd... would take a bit longer but still doable
