    Hi

I qualified as a solicitor in 2006 and have 6 months post qualification experience. However i did not enjoy practising and i am much more interested in the educational side of law and would love to lecture. However in the past year i have branched into insurance because i live in the South and there are very few legal jobs that do not involve practising. I also have an LLB from Cork and a diploma in family mediation.

Have i limited my eligibility to lecture because i am not practising at the moment? I would appreciate your view on this and any advice you may have in relation to seeking employment as a lecturer.

    Yes, you may have.
