Beer that has been opened and sits for awhile will grow stale (just like pop), but it won't make you sick. There is something called, 'green beer' which means the beer has not been properly brewed and yes, that can make you sick, but not enough to die from.
Wine will also go flat if opened and not re corked. It's still drinkable, but for anyone who likes wine they'd throw it out if it's been sitting uncorked for a long while.
Other alcohol such as Rye, White/Dark Rum, Brandy, Gin, etc., does not have an expiration date and does not go bad. In fact, some forms of hard liquor sometimes grow stronger with age.

So ye reckon I should drink it. Would you? Seems a shame to waste.

Definitely, Zubrowka won't "go off" don't worry, perfectly fine once it was sealed!

    With the top off?

If not, if the top was screwed on, then I'd say it's safe to consume..

Nothing can live in that concentration of alcohol. In fact, I'm surprised there's a best-before date on it. The worst that can happen is that the grassy flavour has blanched a bit, but it's still vodka and will still be safe in another 60 years, cap or no.

Yep, that is all that will really happen, it is rare to see spirits with BBD on them, ones like baileys will though. There are tasters who reckon they can detect if a vodka bottle has been opened & closed.

Lash some good coppella pressed apple juice into it with tons of ice and enjoy. Gorgeous stuff.
