I've seen the 8.6 around the place, but not the red.

The main problem with selling this kind of stuff here is that our tramps prefer cider.

8.6 is nasty stuff (well its psycological effects are _shudder_ )
If you want a tramptastic drink try the carlsberg and tenants super strong versions (I think there 12%)

Forgive my ignorance but I didn't even know there was a stronger version of Bavaria. When I lived in Malta the green can (500 ml) was very popular especially with Irish/UK tourists. They seemed to like it. I get the blue can in Centra and I really like it. Much nicer than Tuborg, which I find to be very watered down.

Must try and find them. Thanks

Strong stuff is not that good, get a decent beer of that strength

I think the green can is 5% standard, the blue is 4.2% or 4.3% "premium" and often costs the same as the green can.

Devaney's in Rathmines always have the 8.6 Bavaria, haven't ever seen the red though.

I've never seen the red either, but having tried the 8.6% before (crazy night) I don't think I'd be willing to try it!

Not to mention that Bavaria normally tastes like fag butts anyway (yes from an unopened can just in case anybody states the obvious! :D)
