    Hi all,
We are planning a holiday to Brisbane early next year - 2 adults 1 infant, 1 baby. What airline would you recommend?
For the laugh I did a price check with Singapore Airlines: €13,500+ wow!!!

I would recommend Singapore airlines but book well in advance. That price seems very expensive. When do you intend going? I paid €3k for 2 adults and one infant last september. That included return trip Dublin-London-Singapore-Sydney and stop over accom for one night in Singapore each way.We booked this almost 6 months in advance though

You might laugh but I used http://www.kuwaitairways.com/

It was the chepaest and the service was excellent, they even give you steel forks and knives.....none of that american security regulations with these boys, I would use them again, top notch service....

p.s i'm white and Irish, there me be a few beards on the plane but nothing to worry about....

    Highly recommended!!!

Cathay Pacific ftw. Quite reasonably priced, very efficient and excellent in flight service.

Last December I did Etihad Dublin – Abu Dhabi – Brisbane. The Abu Dhabi to Brisbane leg involves a stop over (same plane) in Singapore. And on the way home I did Sydney - Abu Dhabi – Dublin.
I found Etihad economy to be best of any airline I have ever travelled. Huge selection of in-flight movies on-demand in personal TVs per seat; good leg room; nice food.
Sure Singapore have got more style and better food, but for Oz I vote Etihad. Plus no Heathrow transfer !!!!

Cool, good feedback. We are thinking of March, and the prices I got from Singapore Airlines was off their website - direct flight. I'll shop around so!

Totally agree on this. Their economy class has the same entertainment package as Singapores business class. The Economy seats are excellent and provide the most leg room that I have ever experienced on a plane.
The food was good the wine and refreshments were plentiful as well!!
Another bonus is that the AbuDhabi stopover breaks up the journey nicely. I would advise to book Dub-Abu-Syd rather than Brisbane if the Brisbane plane stops in Singapore. A flight from Sydney to Brisbane will be very easy to get and cheap and short hop.
I have flown on long haul on Malaysian, Singapore, Gulf and BA and I would pay extra to go with Etihad over any of these. Make sure you register for flyer miles with them as well, as they have a good benefit package with frequent flyers.

I flew earlier this yr with Korean Airlines which was by the far the cheapest - the inflight entertainment it a bit hit and miss as you may not have your own screen for one leg on the journey, spent a night in Seoul on the way back which was interesting. Think my flight cost approx 700eur.

Have you checked with ebookers? I went to oz last year and nz the year before and booked all flights with them over the phone- not online for some reason more expensive online! They worked out cheaper both times than trying to book with any of the the airlines online. Ended up flying with different airlines both times - dublin to london both times with airlingus- then singapore airlines to nz, and second time was quantas to aus, both were fine not a huge difference between them. Definately check with ebookers before you book though!!

Because you're going in December, which is peak season, you most likely won't find cheaper than that. For me 1500 is an excellent price. I'm paying that amount for a February (off peak) flight to Ireland and back.
