My brother in law was bidding on this a few days ago, he was outbid but contacted by the seller at a later stage to say the buyer had pulled out and as he had bid would he like the opportunity to buy them. All looks fine until you read the tiny light grey print at the bottom. I told him to contact his credit card company and stop the payment. He paid on saturday night with paypal but I pointed out the small print to him on sunday evening. Would the payment have cleared by then and whats his chances of saving his money?
    Course of action to take?

May have been used ? **** that. If the seller accepted your payment by then, which is probably likely with the time difference, then yes the payment would be gone through.

If the text was there all the time I don't know what sort of comeback you have, I probably wouldn't have seen it myself what with it being that colour and all.

"this Sale Is For Tickets That May Have Been Used, I Am Not Sure. So Bid Like This Is A Suvenior. No Refunds On This Bidding. 2007 Universal Orlando, All Rights Reserved."

Yeah I thought so myself, it was his first time using ebay. He got hit for about $400 but if you look at the amount of bids I am sure the seller must have contacted everyone that bid......as bad as it was he could have been the winner $910

will give him a buzz later on to see how is went.

his sale is for tickets that may have been used, I am not sure. So bid like this is a suvenior. No refunds on this bidding.
$910 for a souvenir ticket? That's a good one. Since he paid by Paypal, it'll probably go through straight away. He'd probably be best contacting credit card direct to see if it can be stopped, on the grounds that it was deliberately misleading (almost invisible text). Obviously, the winning bidder realised this after the auction ended and didn't go through with it either.

Get him to report the sale to eBay, and to Paypal just to cover his ass.

Just off the phone to my wife, she rang the sister in law and she contacted the seller to ask if there was any names on the tickets... to which he replied no. Still a scam but I think she is just hoping for the best. They contacted their credit card company last night who said there was nothing they could do. Looking at the list my brother in law was way down it and its a possibility that he may have sold more than the one set of four. He created a buy it now auction for my brother in law to buy at the price of his highest bid from earlier.

Just done a search of completed listings from the seller and the brother in laws transaction is not listed.... how is that? When I spoke to him last night on the phone he gave me the transaction number and when I searched using that number I was able to see the listing with a buy it now price???? He had a buy it now price of $380 which is what he paid.
