Why does Chorus do this??

Every now and again (last night being a perfect example) some channels on Chorus decide to develop a fault.

Perfect weather conditions but all channels from 112 down had a fault and from 112 to about 130 it was like every second channel.
The message on screen said something like "this channel has developed a fault, please ring Chorus on blah blah blah"

Anyone know why this happens??? It happens maybe one a month or once every two months.

ok the problem is with your reception in general, not just those channells.
I worked for chorus for two years .when we put in a system we would check 112 channels if there was tiling on them we knew there would be troble with the signal.
Just to clarify we got the strongest possible signal with our meters on the roof first before we put in the rest.Just phone up and say there is tiling on your channels if not sorted soon it will be on the front garden for you to collect. It might shake them up, also you can check the signal strength yourself .Menu ,setup and look for signal the second last line should be around 25 db steadyily if not your signal is not strong enough.
They can't send a boost to your box if they tell you that .any other probs contact me i will try to help.

Cool thanks for that. I'll check the signal strength tonight.
