HP DV 6000 Dropping Internet Signal

my laptop keeps dropping signal and wont connect to my broadband and it aint just here , it happens in my friends houses etc same thing any help appreciated

what power mode are you in? Try high performance?

I had the same problem. I updated the bios and all the drivers but still no luck. After a bit of time on google I found this. Its a known problem on certain models and the dv6000 is one such model. I sent it back to HP and they changed the motherboard under warranty. Took about 10 days.

there are known issues with the 6000 series. HP have extended the warranty on it so get it touch with them

had same problem hp replaced mother board... no charge... collected and delivered back to me within 7 days,,
