New Laptop advice.

    XP would be preferable over Vista if possible. Thanks for any help.


    Budget: Around a thousand. (Is that realistic?)

    Intended use: Word processing, some Internet usage.

    Mobility: Fairly mobile, somewhere around a 12/13 screen.

    Warranty: Not sure about this one. Family member bought an extended warranty from Dell and they did just about nothing to fix his monitor even though
    it was well within warranty.

    erm yeah a grand seems very possible and a 12-13 inch screen your talking about a hp pavillion , though there a little more than a grand usually about 1200 , i would recommend the Dell xps 1330

    its a really nice little lappy , i have its 15" older brother , its got microphone , touch buttons , and a finger print scanner for passwords and the like , very very nifty :D
