    Your price seems about 200 euro per month too high for that area, is I think the point that he's making. It's very far from the city centre, and many people are reluctant to share with a couple.

    OP, do you own the house?
    Is the person who moves in going to be a lodger (a stranger in their own home) or a tenant and all the limited rights that entails.
    And yes, a lot of people won't share with a couple.

    I think you need to make that clear

    I get the impression they're renting and subletting, which implies they don't habe the luxury of setting the rent at a reasonable level :)
