Need a big rack!

    Hi all, was just wondering if anybody has spotted any big spice racks on their travels? :/


    Im a keen cook and have a lot of spices. I've noticed that they come in 12 and 24 slots and the little counter top ones.. no where near enough. I was trying to avoid buying a load of the 24 slots ones.

    Is building my own one the way forward, or have you spotted any that could be of use?

    Approx how many jars?

    Do you want it wall mounted or stand alone?

    There is a Swedish (iirc) company that make ones thats you can add new racks to, if you get me, they are made from stainless steel mesh. I can't think of the name, it'll come to me I'm sure.

    I also know a company that import little spice jars with a cork lid (dinky!), cheap as chips and you can buy in bulk, let me know if you want a link to them.

    Brill thanks SM. Well I've 85 herbs & spices, 23 colourings & flavourings, 6 tubes of Bouquet de Garni, I've loads of other non-perishable condiments too, aprox 25/30 of them :/


    Is the company you mean IKEA? good plan. Gonna stalk the site!

    No, I didn't mean IKEA! But they probably would have something suitable.

    Its a company that make modular shelving and the name escapes me. I know they supply companies here. Its driving me nuts...! I WILL remember it, its a matter of pride now!

    By the sounds of your stock, you need something adjustable.
