    Hi There,
My dad has always wanted a 230CE W114. His 70th birthday is coming up soon so I was on the look out. If anybody knows of a car that is RHD and local, could you please post info?

    The W114 Coupe is either 250C, 250CE or 280CE, all 6 cylinder.

Try Ben Lichtenberg www.lichtenbergclassics.ie he normally knows or has some for sale.

I know there is a chap in Donabate with a 250C, Irish reg for sale, but it is quite a project !

A friend in Limerick who has too many cars, has a 114 1974 for sale 280e, Was imported but very straight clean car and interior and engine perfect, also has 280ce needing some restoration.:pac:Reasonably priced due lack of space.

Thanks for the replies and straightening me out on models. One other thing he always talks about is pillarless coupe. I don't suppose they all are?

He definitely isn't interested in a project, as he has a 1949 Austin A70 that has been in a garage for about twenty years and it still is nowhere near finished. The Merc definitely should be very close to complete.

I had a look at the site given. I will give him a call tomorrow and see what he can tell me. It's a pity the 250 is LHD but I think he really wants a coupe anyway.

Shawnee, can you send me more details of the cars mentioned. Forgive my ignorance but is the 280e a coupe? I assume not if it isn't a ce.

    No a 280E is a 4 door, CE = 2 door Coupe, correct.

The W114 Coupe is pillarless !
