Got a text this morning entitled Golden Mobile. Reads as follows "Golden Mobile Number for Sale.085 one million.Saw your ad in the phone book, if interestedget back to me,thanks.€1000 Longford area." Sender xxxxxxxxx.

I have no ad in the Phone Book but I do in the Golden Pages.

well do you have a add for a Golden Number in the Golden pages?

Seems legit enough, but wow, would you really pay a grand just to have that number?

No, I dont and no I wouldnt. What makes me suspicious is that there are thousands of mobile nos in the Golden Pages & did (s)he try them all ?

there's a number of ways they could sell you the number and steal it back after. Your only way to be sure you won't have problems later is to let the network know but they might not like people buying and selling numbers.

I do know people who have bought and sold numbers without problems though.
