I'm presuming it's plugged in when it dies and it's not just a flat battery?
    Is the laptop running XP?

Well if u feel like chucking it I'll take it off your hands no problem! PM Me!:D

I don't think its a problem with your computer though. Could it be a setting thats wrong? Did you try all the power settings like what to do when idle for x minutes? Any one of them could be set to shut off.

But if it happens randomly during use I have no idea what could cause it?! Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD) is usually, as it sounds, a very bad thing! I got it once because I plugged the wrong power pack in but quickly sorted that one out!

    Good luck! Cliff

Thanks Cliff, I checked them settings this morning, have set never shut off!! an screensaver set to come on after so many minutes,, I dont know what BSOD means, as I said, It goes off the screen sooo quickly cant read what it says.. then I have to switch it all off again, and restart it.. maybe should get professional to look at it. Thanks Again.

So It doesn't actually turn off? Thats a system problem I think? Try a system restore to roll back all the settings to a date where everything worked. Google a how to, It should be pretty straightforward.

Have you installed SP3 for XP? I know that has been causing some problems with people.
