IDE or AHCI?

    Currently running my harddisks as IDE, if i install the ahci drivers and change it over in the bios will i get much of a performance boost??

    I looked into this a few weeks ago, what I took away from it was that the performance gains are pretty slim.
    It ended up being a giant pain in the tits to set up anyway so I didn't bother.
    Let us know how you get on though, I might be tempted to make the switch if I could shave a few seconds off my boot time. :)
