    Hi All,

    Just got IBB Talk with ATA siemens gigaset dect phone. Probelm is it seems you cannot use it for "telephone banking" "gas bills" "Work conference calls from home" anything were you need to enter codes or press more than one button. (I should have thought of this before I purchased)

    Is there any workaround for this? Or do I need an eircom line also?

    You should be able to use DTMF with most SIP phones. It may just be a configuration issue. Check the settings on the phone to see if you can change the DTMF type, them confirm the type with your provider and set it on your phone.

    The normal types are SIP INFO, and Events or Tones (RFC 2833). There is also Inband where the tone is placed in the audio signal.
