I was at CourtLough. as a novice and being my first time out I was given a 22 caliber bolt action rifle( with 10 round magazine) with scope. It was black and had one of the things on the end that reduces the flash. I think it was this rifle or a variant of it ( remember seeing CZ on the side) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CZ_527. Any help?

Very likley a CZ, there are alot of different models.
the thing on the end was a moderator/surpressor/silencer whatever you want to call it, are you thinking of getting your own rifle?

    Hi Pandaman,

It was a CZ Bruno 452 Style with a sound moderator, I was there last year and I own the exact same model. This model has no iron sights hence you were shooting with a scope... hope this helps..

    Pandaman,

It was a cz 452 style or silhouette in .22lr that you were using as these are the only rifles we use for visitors.

There are some of our rifles there that must have 300,000 rounds plus through them and continue to function perfectly and still hold a good zero.

The cz family of rifles are excellent value for money and virtually everyone on this forum will agree with this.

I hope you enjoyed your visit and will be back again soon.

CZ rifles ( and pistols if I can believe a good pal of mine ) are like the modern Skoda cars. No frills, relaible, good quality pieces of engineering that won't let you down.
