Part Time Masters in IT field

Is anyone doing a part time masters in an IT related field. I am looking for something that concentrates more on the business side than on the development side of IT. Something that would allow me to become a systems analyst or project manager.

    I have a few questions:

    - How many hours per week do you need to attend class or study (in general)
    - If you are starting a new job will a company be happy you are doing this or would they prefer that they would be able to give you overtime when ever they would like
    - How have you found doing a part time masters different to a full time degree
    - Can you do a part time masters with a university you cant attend in person each week. For example could I do a part time masters in Galway while working a full time job in Dublin. Or would this not work.
    - Would I be better off doing profesional vendor certifications rather than a masters with a university.

If you have any other information you think I should be considering here please let me know.

    Thanks in advance!

A friend of mine did this course part time: http://www.smurfitschool.ie/specialistmasters/technology/mscintechnologymanagement/curriculum,4153,en.html - Masters in IT Management

Unfortunately I haven't much more info on it right now. However, meant to say that posting under "IT Certification" in "Edu" will get a lot of responses.

Look into the courses linked on these two sites.

They are courses sponsored by the National Development Plan under the "Graduate Skills Conversion Program". These courses have reduced fees for both full & part time courses. There should be something in there that fits your needs.

Sorry I can't help on the part of actually doing a masters part-time.

Do you happen to know the difference between the course you posted a link for and the one shown below in management science. The management science is covered by the goverment funded conversion program. The IT Management masters is interesting though thanks.

    University College Dublin

MSc in Management Science - Part-time (To be re-named MSc in Business Analytics in 2008/09)
