Easy chaps - Credit cards will drag you down if your not carefull..... I had a €11,000 credit limit from AIB at 22.....very bad idea.......

Pay off your balance every month if you can....if you need a small loan go to tesco and get it at 6.5%...

A credit card if for the things you can afford not the things you can't.....

Answering your question.....I doubt there is any cap on your credit limit, it all depends on your ability to repay....so as students i'd say around €1500 - €2000 is the max....

There's better deals out there on credit cards, just because it says student on it dosen't make it a good deal...

22.9% is a rip on cash advances, shop around as it is something you will use.....

Don't know it off hand. Your best bet is to ring their 24 hour banking. Someone there should be able to tell you. However, they might refrain from doing so, as the standard practise for responsible lending is to only give a limit that the customer needs and can afford. By telling customer's the max they can get, many customers will then go ahead and apply for that limit (without needing it or being able to afford it)

Same here - they kept upping mine every 6 months when I requested online. They told me on the phone they couldn't do it but it worked when requested online.

Do you know how you apply for an increase online? I did it after a year. Now it's almost 2 years but it's not giving me the option to increase now....

    log in
choose your credit card from the drop down and click go
under credit card services click where it says click here
choose your credit card from the drop down and click go
click continue next to "request a limit increase" and follow the prompts

Cheers for that! Unfortunately it's not giving me that option, it's only offering me the following choices:

    > Set up eStatements
    > Set up or Adjust Direct Debit
    > Request a Replacement Card
    > Request a PIN Reminder
    > View Credit Card Terms and Conditions
    > Request Copy of Transaction Voucher/Record
    > Change Credit Card Address

    Insurance
    > Optional Cardif Pinnacle Card Protection

    I dunno

Not sure the eskimo, sorry. I switched from Student to a Be card a couple months ago (for no real reason other than I felt like it .. wish I had student rates still!).

I definitely did it online before but since they brought out those new services I haven't had a student card.
