Wanted to set up my phone with MSN, as I've already got Gmail on there, so I follow some instructions here, where it says to open mobile.msn.com with my phone's browser, but it doesn't seem to be working for me.

Anyway, is this fruitless? I'm on Vodafone, by the way.

    Sony Ericsson k810i.
    Vodafone prepay
    Vodafone Live settings

Have tried to load mobile.msn.com - communication failure.
    Google loads fine.

Tried to load http://mobile.msn.com (note I added the http://)and then click Go when it shows up on screen. MSN Search seems to load (Live search as MS call it now ...)

Then I clicked home at the bottom of this page.

Then I've gone to 3. Messenger.

Seems to let me login then. When I bookmark this page then the link appears to be http://mim.live.com/?lc=en-US which I've popped into a shortcut here: www.randomprojects.eu/msn

I've got as far as loading up my contacts list and sending a message! My balance was €10.00 when I started. Now it's €9.01.
I have too much time on my hands.

Sorry let me see if I understood, you were able to access msn messenger from 3's site on the phone, it wasnt restricted?

Its free for 3 customers I know that much.

This had nothing to do with the 3 network. This was using a service provided by Microsoft using Vodafone Live. I do not believe it is linked to Vodafone Live other than you can access it through it.
