Purchasing a 01' Punto: Key Difficulties

    Hi there,

I am currently looking at a 01' Fiat Punto which is for sale at a local car garage. The car is in good condition recently serviced with a timing belt. 50,000 miles on the clock.

However I am concerned about one thing. The car was at a dealership in Swords and the keys were lost. He said the car was brought to a Fiat dealer and a brand new key was made. It does look brand new. However if the old keys "turn up" is it possible that these keys could take away the car?

I'm very happy with everything else but just a little concerned that the original keys were lost and now there is only one key. He said only one new key was made.

Am I worrying unneccessarily? Any information/advice would be great.

    Thanks,
    Richard
