I did a search for sensor cleaning and I was wondering if this was going to be going on again sometime soon?

If not, where would you recommend I take my camera to have its sensor cleaned? I'm far too chicken to do it myself. I'm from Sligo but I realise I'd probably have to travel to Dublin.

Depends if you have a Canon, Sligo Chicken

    :D

    I think there's a thread somewhere in the FAQ/stickies.

Personally, I use a DYI thing called Dust Aid and it seems to work just fine.

Yeah, I saw the thread in the FAQs, but it's mainly pimping that same product, which seems to have to be purchased online (not something I can do at the moment due to temporary lack of credit card).

To be perfectly honest I'd really much prefer having a professional take a look at it, because I have a suspicion the speck might be sand from when I took the camera to the beach. I wouldn't want to risk messing about with it myself if it's sand.

    And yeah, I do drive a canon - albeit just a 400D.

    ok... thanks.

But just one more try at getting someone to answer my original question - is there any chance of having a Canon technician do it for me? I don't want to void my warranty, etc.
