    I've decided to upgrade my FinePix s5500, i know its old but i've found it a great camera to start off with. It really got me hooked on photography, with the help of my little posing 2 year old. I couldn't recommend it more to anyone starting off, but i want to move up a notch now, so i am looking at a new camera.

    From reading on boards and other forums, the Canon Eos 350D looks like a perfect step up, price looks good on it too.
    Is there a Nikon equivalent or would anyone have any suggestions ?

    I don;t want to break the bank on it, no point in having a great camera and being too skint to go anywhere interesting with it :-)

    Also i would like to look into a course for digital photography, has anyone any good experiences of these in the dublin area ?

    there is no Nikon equivalent to the 350D as they are yet to make a camera as good as it...I hear that even their pro bodies come short...its a pity really...lack of real competition is stiflying progression
