To mix some human DNA into a Spider Egg so that a spider could become educated and perhaps get a degree?

From my understanding a spider isn't educated, they just DO. A spider doesn't have any interests other than making a web and eating some fly.

I want to know would it ever be possible for a Spider to have an understanding of Bismarck's foreign policy, the formation of a cone shaped volcano, algebra, Joyce etc.

So you'd get a Spider Baby????

I had that thought last week when I took my washing in off the line and then I went to put on a pair of underwear and there was a manky spider crawling inside them.. if I had put them on, maybe it could have made it's way up and laid eggs and then I might have given birth to spider babies!!

Not exactly related but the other day I came up with this theory that homosexual spiders are smarter than their heterosexual counterparts cos they won't get eaten after mating (I think it was in spiders that homosexuality was noted), survival of the fittest and all that :p What ya think?

No, the amount of genetic information you would have to supply the spider with would make any embryo completely unviable.

    Damn.

So in theory it would be like trying to play Football Manager 08 on a 20 year old computer.

    Also...why were you wondering this??

I still wonder about the possibility of me giving birth to a Spiderbaby, when I say wonder, I mean I had nightmares :(
