I'm then given an error message from Windows (Vista 64bit) which says that the display driver nvlddmkm encountered a problem but has now recovered.

Anyone encounter this problem?

Are you using the latest official Nvidia Display Drivers from www.nvidia.com? That bug occured with older drivers but is fixed in the newer revisions afaik

Yeah, I've got the latest 175.16 drivers, not making a difference unfortunately.

What power supply you have m8? Could be the cards arnt getting enough power,
