Guess this is the place for this.

I'd really like to have a HD player especially with the UK Freesat going HD and Newry a short drive away ;)

I remember reading that XBMC was in PC Alpha state, is there a stable version out yet like on the Mac which should be easy to standardise on?

Any info or links would be appreciated.

Its officially coming to linux with unofficial ports to Apple OSX and Windows also.

The linux port is pretty feature complete, while still in alpha phase. Its planned to have it as a Ubuntu like self-booting CD thats runs on startup.
