So I am on holiday with my parents and brother on Fuerteventura. I am 24 and he is 20, christ he is a annoying little git. He paid for nothing on the holiday, was asked to come along for free, and all he has done since we arrived on sunday is whinge whinge whinge about everything. My parents and I went halfs for the holiday, I work as do my parents, but he does sod all work and contributed nothing. He complains the place is boring and there is nothing to do, I have suggested going out drinking but says he doesnt want to, it is boring in fairness but I am not going to complain I have had a hard years work and paid for this. All he is does text his girlfriend all day, has spent 40 euro on texting her since getting here, he has to bloody ring her twice a day for an hour and then talk to her for an hour on the web. I am basically sick of this ungrateful kn0b, question is am I right to feel like this .
    So Angy ¨!!

    Op,

If i was you, I would just ignore him and get on with enjoying the rest of my holiday. Let him whinge all he likes but just let it in one ear and out the other. Dont bother listening to him just relax and enjoy yourself!!!

Go to the Pool, get a tan, and ignore the guy. Hes obviously far less immature then you are. The weather outside here is horrible at the moment, take consulation in the fact you are in the right place.

Seriously just get on with enjoying yourself!
My younger brother is a bit that way too, and is honestly NEVER off the phone to his GF.
Don't let his antics spoil your break.
Enjoy the weather, cos it's crap here!

Why are you letting him get to you like this? Trust me, the weather in Dublin is truly miserable today. It's raining and dull. Be glad you're on holiday, kick back, get a tan, score a hottie and enjoy yourself. Why would you let him get under your skin? Use the rest of the time to make the most of your surroundings and just stay out of his way.

Are you sure you're not a couple of 16 year olds?

What 24 year old goes on holiday with their parents?

Anyway, you can choose to let him bother you, or you can enjoy your holiday.

Maybe the kind that doesn't have strict fuddy duddy holy Joe but parents who are happy for you to do your own thing, don't judge and are more like friends than parents, who's company you enjoy?????

Jaysus, its the same with the "Living at home at 24!!!!!!!!". Not all people have parents that you can't wait to get away from because they make your life hell.

Eh, this hardly sounds like an enjoyable, grown up holiday to be fair. I think it's more the whiny attitude, it comes off as very immature. It's the sort of problem I had at 14 on holidays with my siblings, and I know that we do squabble so that's why we haven't done family holidays since we were teenagers (and most people I know are in the same boat). I still go away with my mum for weekends (I'm 23) but I find the idea of going on a family holiday at this age and still fighting with my siblings hilarious tbh, it's so petty. I think OP should probably go away with other people. I mean the brother must have been quite annoying to start with, and she knew he wasn't paying anything before they went on holidays, so what's the point in complaining now?
