Another top international duo on the cards and an Irish debut courtesy of Acii Disco as we present PIEMONT (live) Saturday June 28th @ Traffic Basement, Middle Abbey St. Known globally for their extremely groovy mix of chunky, percussive driven minimal its another quality act suited to late hours of the Acii Disco.

Made up of Hamburg based producers, Frederic Möring-Sack and Christian de Jonquieres aka PHUNKLARIQUE & DEJONKA, their numerous releases and remixes have already gained a huge fan base over the past few years. Under the PIEMONT guise they create music suitable for peak time as well as after hours and listening comfort.

The long awaited debut EP ("Ice Instinct") by Piemont was released by "Hi Freaks" - the very own imprint of producer/dj-team "Goldfish & der Dulz" - in January 2007 and gained support from many top jocks, including Thomas Schumacher and Oliver Huntemann. Moreover "Ice Instinct" was featured on the momentous DJ Mag cover CD. The acclaimed German label "Gedankensport" released their second EP named "Nightshift", including a fabulous remix by Berlin’s minimal superiors MyMy.

Their following single entitled "Carbonat" appeared on the cologne based label My best friend (MBF) in April, and can be considered as their breakthrough. Being charted and droped by top class Djs such as Carl Cox, Deep Dish, Oliver Koletzki, Monika Kruse, Umek and King Roc, Carbonat quickly gained great public interest and entered the German Club Charts (DCC) at position 13 in may 2007! Up to now Carbonat has been licensed to two Ministry of Sound compilations. The follow-up-EP named "Sympathetic" meanwhile arrived on MBF in September 2007, which immediately reached position 11 of the DCC. After a short summer break Piemont released two new EP’s in November 2007: "Quantum Leap" on "Hi Freaks" and "Ignition Spark" on "Gedankensport". By now the two guys have finished the production of their forthcoming MBF-release named "Bastille", which should hit the stores in February 2008. There latest offerings Black Smoker and Super heated which has just been released on MBF is already caused quite a stir and is sure to be another hit for the Duo this summer.

With support on the night from Acii Disco resident Jonathan Woods it’s sure to be a cracking night! Doors 11pm. Adm e12 / e10 Student
