Does anyone know if its possible to "mute" other players in the online version of COD4 ?
I know it was poss with the xbox, from the online game menu, but I cant seem to do it with the PS3.
there is a certain countries population doing my head in with their inane chat all through the game.
Not sure if I can take much more of it.

please someone tell me there is a way to mute them :(:(:(:(

C'mon, it's the yanks isn't it? It drives me nuts too. I didn't realise you could mute players, I'll be following suit.

Dont get too excited, you still can't mute them in the lobby only in-game

People complain about there not being enough people with headsets on the PSN. It's because a LOT of the people who do are total ****.

Did not know about that select function, excellent.

I actually bought a headset ages ago, used it for a while but found the others to be intolerable so then just knocked it on to take all the chat and left it sitting across the room.

    fantastic !!!
stupid feckin yanks, they dont half talk bolloxs !!!
although in fairness, its NOT just restricted to the septic tanks !!!

only other problem is it seems you have to mute them for every time you start a new game.
once the current game is over and your back in the lobby, the mutes all disappear, then you have to do it again.
shame that really, its about the ONLY thing I'd give credit to Birosoft for, once you muted a player, that was it, they stayed mute !!

    thanks again for the advice,
    cheers

BTW, my nick on the PSN is "DaBassPlayer",
feel free to add me :):):)
