one of my tetras has been lying on the bottom of the tank for the last day or so. He is still alive as his mouth is moving. Is this normal?

Agreed with cichlid child - what are your readings for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH? How big is the tank? What other fish do you have in this tank? What is the temperature of the water? Is this the only fish which is suffering like this? when did you do your last water change? do you use dechlorinated water for your water changes?
Sorry about asking many questions, but we need to know more to try and help. ;)
    Regards,
    Valerie
