I'm thinking of getting a Davis weather station for work, but I think I will wait until October when I go to the USA ($550 compared to €750+VAT). But what I want to know is are there any weather stations in the west or a way to get more detailed readings from the one in Belmullet.
I have also heard that the EPA have some Davis stations and is there any way to access them if they have one in the west.

20 minutes heavy rain Friday and a couple of showers on Tuesday, now I don't know how much water is lost or when I need to start watering again.
