    does the camera make a sound when the phone is on silent? with some firmwares it does. i know there is an app that bypasses this but i hate the artificial shutter sound so i want to make sure its not always there before upgrading

    Just checked it and no sound on silent. Mental note, watch out for towel401 in the changing rooms at your local gym. :D

    There is no way to turn off the shutter sound on an E51, without modding the firmware of course.



    But yes that program does exist. Called cCam.

    so does that mean I have to wait till meteor allows the update of firmware? I've got the e51 on meteor. How long does it take.... Foes rebranding the phone unlock the phone to other networks will meteor do it?
