I have a 6 month old little yorkie who's been slowly going grey around the head area the past 2 months. Does anyone know if this is natural for this breed?
He nearly died about 3 months ago when he eat rat poison, so maybe this is a side effect? Bringing him to the vet this evening.

    Any advice would be great.

No need to bring him to the vet for that! We have 3 - youngest is 2 and is gone foxy in colour on her head.. And the other 2 are grey/silver, male with long coat has a fantastic colour of grey and silver. Its deffo only part of the breed

Well, there's grey and there's grey.

A natural silver colour of the fur or actual pigment loss.

Some illnesses / deficiencies are indicated by premature greying.

A visit to the vet will do no harm, even if it's only to be sure to be sure

Yorkies change from black to silver grey
