    f**k sake whats the point in waiting so long when they will probably have just about every episode shot before it airs.

    look at last season, we waited about the same time(8 or 9 months) for only 16 episodes. my opinion is that if your going to wait that long at least make the series about 25 episodes long

    Nah why stretch it out for the hell of it? I'd rather 16 tightly written decently paced eps over 25 bloated meandering ones anyday!

    ^ Doesn't have to be one or the other tbh. They're perfectly capable of writing 25 decent episodes. And I actually think that now we have a set period til the end of Lost, I think 2 shorter seasons won't be enough to answer all the mysteries of Lost - just look at the loose ends thread. I do think that 2 full seasons of 'tightly written' (to steal yor phrase, sorry!) would be sufficient - no need to stretch it out anymore.

    Oh well, moaning won't make them agree to write anymore..I will miss Lost when it's over...:(

    The writers strike MIGHT just have had a minor affect on that, you know. Every major US TV show was affected - not just LOST.
    These are exceptional circumstances.

    At least it SHOULD make the S4 DVD box set cheaper... (hah!)

    If true, it seems ridiculous considering that Season 4 is only two-thirds the length of any of the previous seasons. Not all that surprising though.

    Move us to the Meditteranean. Make us one of the islands off Greece. Somewhere near Zakynthos and Kephalonia... that'd do ;)
