I've no idea where this is going, but yes it's wrong. OK one could argue all sort of health and safety issues til the cows come home, but if they're good enough for the job, indeed the best candidate then hire the buggers. Makes economic sense to boot. It's more your take on thinsg than the person in question. I'm not going to pull the discrimination card, but it sails close.

FYI I do not want this dragged down the road of a debate why are fat people fat or any such nonsense. Stick to the issue at hand folks.

your an employer in a health club, yeah it's wrong.

But in many areas totally understandable: Most restaraunts and bars like to have attractive staff for example.

Unless it would affect their work output then yes, you are discriminating and yes, you need to get that mindset out of your head

I've a feeling if and fattys see this post your in for it...:p

if you had of hired them you probably could have got sued anyway, a simple remark like run down to the shop could have got you a day in court, as we all know fattys can't run.....

No its an office, only person from outside that comes in is perhaps the cleaner if you happen to be doing overtime and the occasional courier.I just can't stand fat people and since I'm the manager I felt I had the right to refuse employment on these grounds.

This is going to go downhill fast in my humble and frankly I don't like the smell of it. I think you've gotten your answer anyway. If you have an issue with this then naturally take it to feedback.

EDIT Add in your recent thread closure in BGRH and I'm pretty sure now where this was going.
