I like, any ideas what we would expect to pay here in Ireland or will it even be available over here ?

No idea; IRE isn't listed on the htc site for places to buy.

The HTC Touch Pro is the HTC Raphael- basically it's the Diamond with a keyboard and a micro-sd slot (no 4gb internal storage IIRC). FWIW the Diamond is out this month AFAIK, over 600 sim-free from the likes of www.expansys.ie, so not cheap.

O2 are meant to be bringing out the Diamond as the O2 Diamond AFAIK. T-mobile are bringing out the Diamond and Raphael (Touch Pro) as the MDA Compact IV and MDA Vario IV respectively IIRC. The Touch Pro (Raphael) looks great but i'm not mad about the thickness (17mm) and weight still because of the slider.

Anyone know anything about the HTC Touch DUAL Pro (HTC Titanium) though. That might have nicer specs.

there's a bit more to the Pro than the keyboard and memory slot... Check ram and processor specs!
That thing is amazing and I'd gladly take it at 30mm thickness!

The processor is actually the same 528mhz Qualcomm one in the Diamond and the Touch Pro (Raphael).

Apart from the extra bit of RAM in the Raphael, the main differences are the slider qwerty and the microsdhc slot (instead of the 4gb internal storage) tbh.

I have a TYTN II at the Mo and am considering changing.
How does the Diamond compare in peoples opinions?

I doubt antbody has either of these devices yet. AFAIK the Diamond has just been made available on expansys etc and the Touch Pro (Raphael) won't be available until August.

With regard to the Diamond, the main differences between it and the Tytn II would be:
Weight: The Tytn's near 200 grams vs the Diamond's very light 110 grams.
    Thickness: The Tytn's 18mm vs the Diamond's 11mm (IIRC).
Keyboard: No keyboard on the Diamond.
Expansion/Storage: Potential 32gb expansion on Tytn II vs 4gb internal storage (and no expansibility) on Diamond.
UI: More sophisticated/complete TouchFLO implementation on Diamond (TouchFLO 3D)- the phone's big selling point apart from its size/weight apparently. Seems impressive from videos tbh.
FM radio on Diamond; none on Tytn II.
OS: WM 6.1 vs WM 6.0 on Tytn II.
eGPS: The Diamond has eGPS as opposed to the GPS/aGPS on Tytn II. Just a fancier/quicker GPS apparently that doesn't affect the battery as much apparently.
Battery: Diamond's battery is only 900mAH.

As i say that's just from videos/specs and it'll be another bit before people report back their actual experiences of it.

Cheers for that - was trying to find a compare feature on the HTC site but couldn't.
The only thing i'd have a worry about is no keyboard for typing. I find the touchsereen keyboard on the TYTN II a bit annoying if i am typing much and have to use the stylus.
Does the Diamond have a stylus? I cant seem to see much reference to one

Yeah it has a magnetic stylus apparently. Check out the Youtube videos for the Diamond to get an idea of how it works- you'll get a fair idea from those. To compare phone specs just check out www.pdadb.net So (just going on specs alone):
The battery life is a big unknown- 900mAH which could well be crap- unless HTC have put some innovative power-saving tech into it. The 4gb could be a drawback depending on what you want to use it for. The UI looks very slick (touchscreen probably more responsive than predecessors but a bit of an unknown). Size and weight are big pluspoint- if you don't need the hardware keyboard. Has the usual plethora of radios of course- HSDPA, wifi, GPS, fm radio, bluetooth. Has VGA and processor is probably better than the Tytn IIs.

    Just thought i'd post this.
Apparently Expansys UK are selling unofficial "grey import" versions of the Diamond without proper HTC warranty etc at the moment.
They won't be selling the official version of the Diamond until later this month.
    Just a heads up.
