Samsung DVD Recorder issues !!

I bought a Samsung DVD/HDD (Hard Drive) recorder on Komplett. Its the 753 model. http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=333601

I recorded a few programs from my standard Sky box to HDD in SP (standard-mode) and they play back OK but.......are a little jumpy in places, like its missing/dropping frames. I could get over this problem as I haven't recorded anything special yet. BUT now it won't copy from HDD to DVD-R, although the disc copied successfully and it was finalised, it will not play in any DVD player, I used 2 diff types of disc, 8* & 16*.

I bought it a month ago, should I return it? how would I go about that?

    please help.........!

I am not sure of the problems with the DVD's I would suggest getting a brand of DVD's that they recommend and trying them out. As for the jerky play back, I know that with the 850 dvd player using the HDMI, there is an issue with upscaling a PAL signal while the player setting is at NTSC, and visa versa. So ensure that these settings are OK.

I'll try a Sony DVD-RW tonite & see if that makes a difference, its says in the manual that the COPY function is only available with CPRM compatible discs.
