    Hi,
I'm a French student and I will study at Galway during the year 2008/2009.
In fact I just learned last week that I was admitted at NUI, so I could not book a room in a Student Residence earlier.
As a consequence, nearly all residences are full, but there are still rooms available at Dunaras, and would like to know whether it is a great place to live !

No, merely explaining my problems with black mould, no working oven for 3 weeks and no tv for 6, amongst other problems. It was a fun year!

    Dunaras ftw then :D.

Lyssandre, what age are you if you don't mind me asking?

This doesnt make sense given that most inmates of Dunaras, the Coiribes and Toytown are freshers and the LC started today, how can they be full?
Anyway why bother, get a flat in town or newcastle-its cheaper and with luck less fascistic than the residences

I know that Dunaras, for some reason, gets a lot of people going back year after year. Also, you'd be surprised at how early LC students book accommodation.

I'm not surprised that Dunaras is not full yet.

I always found dunaras to be a fair walking distance away from college. I had class mates live there in 1st year and remember walking out there a couple of times and it felt like it took ages.

In the rain it's a good distance but it usually took me about 10 minutes. I'm a fast walker though.

Lyssandre, you should still be able to get a place in Corrib Village. Whether that's a good idea or not is debatable.
