My fridge seems to be running a lot warmer recently(6-7C instead of 3-4C). I know that in warm weather this can happen but was wondering if the fact that it is a built-in type that is not built-in yet but freestanding might have anything to do with it.

It should maintain the temp via its thermostat, is it iced up at all (check the roof of the fridge if the freezer section is above it), is the temp dial set correctly, does the light go off when you press the "widget" thingy?.

    Mike.

also check to see that the cooloing rack at the back is not obstructed or covered with dust, hence leading to a reduced cooling effect
