Possible to move music from ipod to itunes?

    Hello all
    My laptop collapsed recently and i had to reinstall everything after repair... including itunes.
    I'm trying to move everything from my ipod back onto the itunes folder but this won't seem to happen.
    Is there a setting that i maybe have wrong?
    Any tips on how to do this? If it is possible at all?
    Also, everything that i have since moved to my itunes appears there even though i don't want it to... all videos etc. I'd prefer to keep it just music so i need to stop this too
