    is it illegal to park your car for say 1 month in a area in which you dont live?

    No. but if you park your car on a public road outside someones house (in an estate for example) they might well have it towed if its unmoved for several weeks, or at the very least report it as suspicious etc. May also be vandalized if left in public for 1 month without being moved. disconnect battery too or it might die.

    it depends if its an apartment complex or on a public road.

    If its a public road, not parked illegally, and is currently taxed theres no problem. We pay enough tax, the least they can do is let us use our own roads eh???
