hey Any recommendation on how to have a shell removed and scrapped? I get my car back from insurance tonight, it'll be stripped of parts and the shell then needs scrapping thanks

Any recommendation on how to have a shell removed and scrapped?

I get my car back from insurance tonight, it'll be stripped of parts and the shell then needs scrapping

I think the coulcil will still do it but limited to one car per person a year. You have to surrender the log book

I wont have the log book, the insurance want that before they'lll et me have the shell

no insurance want teh doc, its their car once I get paid, but just spoke with council so they also want it - that and 150 quid to take the scrap. I'll bring the forms to th insurance and they may be happy to see it and photocopy it...

other than that any ohter scrapyards that will collect?

When you say you sold the lot you mean the whole car or just the shell? If the car had BBS alloys I'd be very interested in them

they wouldn't fit on a golf without silly spacers, and sure you'd be replacing wheel bearings every week!!

..........not that it matters now, but spacers would only compound the problem as the front wheel drive car need to have less offset than the BMW. Spacers only give it more !
