    2007 and 2006 section B and question D : define food fortification outline the benefits of fortified food to the consumer and to the manufacture

    Dont know how perfect this is, but...

    Food Fortification is the addition of nutrients (minerals and vitamins) to food.

    Benefits of food fortification include:
    -Provision of necessary vitamins. (Consumer)
    -Provision of necessary minerals. (Consumer)
    -Inclusion of nutrients without change to diet. Eg replacing Milk with Super Milk. (Consumer)
    -People are more likley to buy a product which is advertising health benefits as fortified food does. (Manufacturer)

    erm, cant really think of any others??? Anyone else got some?
