Free AV software with SMTP & POP scanning

    Anyone know any? Must scan SMTP and POP on a mail server. Apart from AVG8.

    Thanks. Looks like it works with Exchange only though. Maybe AVG is the only free one to do this type of scanning.

    Only found out yesterday but AVG is no longer free. You have two options that I am aware of; AVAST as aidan walsh suggested above. Only issue with it is that its seriously resource intensive - which may be a problem on an older machine.
    The other option is to use AVIRA - but you will then have to use seperate additional programmes for SMTP/POP.

    If anyone here does no of any other options of free software that scans everything, please post!
