I got my hair highlighted at the weekend, it was supposed to be blonde - but its more a foxy or strawberry blonde colour ( more Fergie Duches of York than Fergie from Black Eyed Pea's.....) I'm just wondering what I need to ask the hairdressers to do to fix it ??? I don't want to have to damage my hair by getting it highlighted twice within 3 days, but the orange halo is not subsiding..... Anyone have a similar experience or any hairdressing wisdom on the matter ???

    go back today!
    ,and complain
u can get rid of the orange hue with a semi(it will tone it down and even out the poxy highlights)

Yes they are obliged to fix it again. Was it the same person who normally does your hair or someone different?

It was a hairdressers that I hadn't been in before, but they came highly recommended from a friend who goes there all the time (she has lovely hair everytime), they had a consultation with me at the start etc - where I said I wanted to go very blonde, my roots were quite long and dark, but I said i wanted to be the shade of blonde that was in the end of my hair, to me its as if they didnt leave the colour in long enough or it wasn't strong enough to lift my own base colour.

Hmm, My mum paid a lotta cash to get highlights done in a well known salon before.
She was in there a good few hours, got the base colour, then the highlights.
Honest to god, you couldn't even see the blimmin things when they finished with her!

The next day her friends were even saying 'oh I thought you were going to get your hair done yesterday' as they honestly didn't see any difference.
I urged her to go back and ask them to fix it, but she didn't want the hassle.

I got a highlighting kit in the chemist, and did it myself for her a few days later and she loved the result.
I can only assume that they didn't use a high enough strength product.
Maybe they were afraid of wrecking her hair and wanted to be on the safe side.
Definitely go back and get it sorted though, you paid enough the first time!!
