This is my first thread ... ever! As exciting as the moment is, I must type fast as my broadband connection rarely keeps it together for more than a few minutes.

Having spent the past 3 months on to Eircom trying to sort out this problem, and had no success... I'm turning to you the world wide public at large ... wondering if there are any other macbook 08 users out there experiencing difficulty with wireless internet. Basically it's an intermittent signal that I get, and it's altogether reliably unreliable.

Is it my mac or is it Eircom? I live in Dublin.

    Thanks, Dacapo

Are you using wireless encryption? What type?

Are you still experiencing the problem if you have the Mac connected tothe router with a cable?

If you want help it really is useless to post without the following details:

the first and most important thing to establish is if the problem is a bad connection with your isp. So you must give details of what happens when you connect to your router by ethernet cable.

Also if you can give details of the sync speed and line stats. (the link to the eircom router is http://192.168.1.254.

The second thing to do then (if your connection is not the problem) is to see if your laptop will connect wirelessly elsewhere.

Also it is not unknown for Leopard to have wireless problems:
