Public tennis courts in Dublin

    Hi,

Does anyone know if there are any tennis courts in South Dublin that are for public use ie. you don't have to be a member and can pay as you use rather than an annual fee? I usually use the UCD tennis courts but want to know are there any alternatives as the UCD courts can sometimes be closed at crazy times - like yesterday at 4:30pm when I was absolutely dying for a game. I drove around for nearly 2 hours trying to find another place but had no luck! I'm renting in Stillorgan so anywhere near there would be convenient.

    Thanks in advance

Some of the council's public parks have courts in them. I assume there would be a list in the council's website, but the parks tennis uses a lot of the public courts so they may have a list here:

Marlay Park have 6 tennis courts available to public. Enjoy, patmustard2006! Also, if you have a friend, we could play 2 x 2 (I have just one friend who play tennis, so 2 buddies would be very good to a double match! :D
