Finance Industry - experience?

    Hi all.

I'm on my summer break, and finding the job hunt impossible! Basically i'm resigned to not being able to find a summer job.

I'm not fussy what area, or for how long, even a week or two unpaid Work Experience would be a brilliant boost to my CV and understanding of the area. Anyone know what places would be interested in taking someone on for work experience, etc?

Ideally I'd like to see the Investment side of things - i really don't know enough about the area yet, and I think a week or two 'in the field' would help me out big time. As I said, money or wages wouldn't be an issue - but just knowing who to ask and where to enquire would be helpful. Anyone have any ideas or contacts you'd like to throw my way?

    Oaky.

Thanks HockeyGirl for the input - I have applied for many of these internships for the summer but unfortunately I don't seem to have the right qualifications or work experience - i'm stuck in one of those 'can't get experience without a job, can't get a job without experience' loops.

I did apply for the above job but I imagine there are more suitably qualified applicants than me for it, which is why I didn't receive a reply. I don't see the full-time job search as going to be that difficult come next summer. But for now a few weeks of work (unpaid or not) would be better than lazing at home - not as fun as you'd imagine!

    Oaky.
