    What sells more games the ps2 or the ps3, has the 3 outstriped the 2 yet ?

    I don't understand - do you mean:

    a) Has the ps3 sold more games since launch (about ~1.5 years?) than the ps2 has since launch (~8 years?) - if so, I doubt it. But ask me again in 6.5 years. You have to compare like with like...

    or

    b) Does the ps3 currently sell more games than the ps2 for the same period - last month for instance - in which case, I would certainly assume so. Do they even release new ps2 games still?

    There are plenty of sites out there with game software sales stats , though some of them are notably skewed towards one supplier or the other ,

    While there are still titles released for the PS2 , the PS3 is outselling it in terms of software by a huge margin. You have to go down as far as 35th position on this particular chart to see a PS2 title.

    i think he meant what sells more per week (in software sales) PS2 or PS3.

    that would be the only logical statistics between the two at this moment.

    Taken as overall console figures yes it does , however its not in the same league as the 360 or PS3 , its not fair to compare here at all ,

    I mean look at the software titles , with just a couple of exceptions it all wii controller sports and kiddie games .... Its a mother and child console !

    I have a Wii and an Xbox 360 and I can tell you I used a lot more brainpower to solve puzzles in Twilight Princess than I did in playing Halo 3 or COD4.
    Im 25 and my 2 favourite games last year were Halo 3 and Super Mario Galaxy.
    Just because a game doesn't have blood and guts does not mean its less challenging or less satisfying than games that do.
