As you can read above, Matt won the tourney. We had a nice turnout of 37 runners. We didnt push this event too hard. We are thinking about making it a monthly tourney and from the level of interest shown, its quite probable that we will. We might have to tweak it so that it finishes in one day (though I have no problem with players coming back on day 2 to finish). Really, whatever the players prefer. We had 15,000 chips starting stack and 45 min clock.(11 players came back on Sunday to finish, with an average stack of 50,000 and blinds 1,200-2,400). To make it a 1 day event, it would have to become a 10,000 chip game and maybe a 200 freeze-out. All suggestions welcome.

2nd in the tourney was Mark Coffey, not very well known outside of Kerry, but a good player who's comfortably sitting on top of the Cue Club league.

3rd was Derry, my son, whos due a big win shortly. Consistantly playing great poker, I think Derry has a bright future in the game.

The support €150 event was taken down by Dave "the silver fox" o Mahoney, aka ZZR1100 on boards. After his 5th place finish in Waterford, this result keeps his good run going.

I'll hold you to that!! I'm away in Vegas at the moment, back on July 11th, but I can still give the go ahead for this in my absense (thats the week-end of July 19th/20th. (dont have a callender here and the heads not thinking very straight but I think thats the 3rd week-end in July). If you need accom, give me a shout.

By the way Marq, do you sleep at all? Theres some excuse for me, its only 12.40am out here!!

Congrats to matt ,yo-yo ing all 2 days and to take some of the beats he did and still win very impressive, shame i couldn't be more competative and the final table but hey if the cards aint falling for you at that stage of a game there's not a lot you can do about it,but still managed to cash ( thanks for that guys great gesture after 7 handed for so long) and keeps my good run going of late.
Also and big thanks to everyone at the club ,first visit for me and mrs buzz and very impressed with whole set up made to feel very welcome and we will certainly be coming back when the right games are being held.
Lastly all the best to the lads going over to vegas (kick arse lads).
